DBWPC. Inc (Delores Barrr Weaver Policy Center) is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Mental Health Professional to provide girl-centered, trauma-informed counseling and advocacy services to girls and young women impacted by systemic inequities, trauma, and adversity. This role is central to advancing our mission of promoting healing, empowerment, and social justice for girls.  This is a full-time position with good benefits that serves Duval, Clay, Baker Nassau & St. Johns counties.

Key Responsibilities for our position
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling using trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and culturally affirming practices.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Advocate for girls and families within courts, schools, and community systems.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic, wraparound services.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in supervision and training.
  • Travel throughout the five-county service area to deliver services in homes, schools, detention centers, and community settings.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Florida as a Mental Health Counselor or Clinical Social Worker.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with girls.
  • Experience in education, child welfare, social services, and/or juvenile justice preferred.

This position may supervise volunteer interns and plays a vital role in cultivating a culture of safety, dignity, respect, and accountability.
